* GDT at Try It On Tuesday: Butterfly Birthday

Hello

I am delighted to be joining Try It On Tuesday as GDT this fortnight. Thank you, Jo, for inviting me!

The challenge theme this time is Butterflies

Here is the card I made:

I made a colourful background from Distress Oxides in Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio and Evergreen Bough by smooshing, dipping and dabbing white card in puddles of ink. I die cut the panel to place on top using the beautiful Tim Holtz die set.
My butterflies are from Tracy Evan's Through the Meadows and Hibiscus stamp sets from AALL & Create. I heat embossed them and watercolored with Arteza Brush pens.
The butterflies were glued to the background just at the centre, so there is some movement. White paint splatters were applied and the sentiments were matted onto black card and adhered in place.

I made an insert for the card using a die cut as a stencil and using the same inks and a brush to blend them. The inside sentiment is my favourite from Inkylicious.

That's all from me.
Thanks for stopping by today.
xoxo
