* Gecko Galz: The Witching Hour

Hello!

October is here and, as this is the month of Halloween, at Gecko Galz our customer challenge has the theme of
The Witching Hour.

Later this month, starting on the 26th, we have the Gecko Galz Blog Hop with super prizes and free collage sheets. I do hope you'll join us!

Here are my customer inspiration projects for the challenge:

Witchy House

I made my house from scratch, using recycled cardboard from a packaging box, for the structure. Packaging tape holds the cardboard together. I covered the walls of the house in free digi paper from the Gecko Galz Pinterest page and the roof is covered with Tombstone paper from the Never More paper pack.
Black striped washi tape was applied around the base of the walls, helping to hold the house's shape. Strips of paper from the Frightfully Delightful Junk Journal Kit were added on top of the washi tape to ground the images.

Here is the front of the house. The image is from the Witchy Women collage sheet - I like that she has a gothic arch door to stand by. I gave her some die cut leaves climbing up the doorway and placed the moon and raven (from the Haunted Ephemera collage sheet) on the roof apex.

The rear of the house features two women from the Witching Hour collage sheet with a black cat, from the Haunted Ephemera collage sheet, popped on foam dots for dimension. The clock at the top of the wall is from the Time Flies collage sheet. Again they were given some die cut foliage.

The sides of the house were also decorated, one with a different black cat ( Frightfully Delightful Junk Journal Kitand the other with an owl sitting on a tree branch (Boo-tiful Too Halloween collage sheet).

Witchy Card

The gorgeous image is from the Witchy Women collage sheet. I matted it onto black glitter card. The skull border is from the Frightfully Delightful Junk Journal Kit, as is the pretty butterfly.
The beautiful harlequin background paper is from the This is Halloween mini paper pack, and this too is matted onto black glitter card. The Alpha Letters are stickers from my stash and a stripy orange bow finishes off my card.

That's all from me for now!

I hope you'll join our Witching Hour challenge where the Winner will get
$25 shopping spree
at the Gecko Galz shop.

The only rule is that you must use at least one Gecko Galz product ...
(this can be one of the freebies or, of course, you can buy at the Etsy store!)
Also if you sign up for the Gecko Galz newsletter, you'll be able to claim a free collage sheet each month and get first claim on the $1 Wednesday deals!

Please pop over to the Gecko Galz blog to see the fabulous designs by the very talented DT.

We also have a Private Facebook Group where there are 4 monthly challenges, each with a collage sheet prize. Come and join us!

I'll be back on the 12th with more Gecko Galz projects.
