* Gecko Galz: Merry Mermaids

 

Hello!

Welcome to August and a brand new Gecko Galz customer challenge.

This month the challenge theme is Merry Mermaids. The lucky winner will receive a $25 store voucher.

Here is my inspiration project:

I made a journal page which has some 3D elements. 

I used images from The Mermaid Dreams Journal Kit with paper from the Tortuga ATC set. I added some white circles and splatters to the paper using acrylic paint. I adhered my fussy cut coral images, tucking some cheesecloth and Angelina fibres underneath them. I added some extra colour to the coral images with Inktense pencils. The mermaid is popped on foam tape for dimension as are the fishes. I also tucked some dried natural flowers  behind the corals.
